Government lowers its minimum wage projection for 2020

The federal government reduced the minimum wage projection from R$ 1039 to R$ 1031 (-0.76%). The change is suggested in the Budget Bill (PLO), which was sent to the National Congress this Tuesday, the 26th. If the document is approved by the constitutional body, which is composed of deputies and senators, workers will receive R$ 33 more next year. According to the Ministry of Economy, the government's correction is justified by the new calculation of mandatory expenses, which is in line with the reduction in the projection of the INPC (National Consumer Price Index).
