According to Doria, vaccine under development will be tested and produced in Brazil

João Doria, governor of São Paulo, announced this Thursday (11) a partnership between the Chinese laboratory Sinovac and the Butantan Institute. According to him, there is a developing vaccine in the Asian country that has already gone through phase 1 and 2 testing. Due to the agreement reached between the institutions, the third stage of the tests will be carried out in Brazil and, if approved, it will also be produced in the country.

Doria also stated that it is possible that the vaccine will be released by June 2021. The governor broke this news while holding a press conference at Palácio dos Bandeirantes. According to him, the partnership established with the Chinese laboratory is proof that the government supports science and technology. Furthermore, Doria stated that this is also evidence of the government's investment in cooperation and good relations with nations.
